Specifications
SAILUN ICE BLAZER WST3
SAILUN ICE BLAZER WST3 195/65R15 95T XL — quality All season tyre from SAILUN. Reliable grip, stability and durability for everyday driving across all conditions.
How fuel-efficient is this tyre?
Below average. The SAILUN ICE BLAZER WST3 is rated D, under the middle of the scale. Rolling resistance runs a little higher, so fuel use creeps up slightly. Usually that's the trade-off for stronger grip or longer tread life.
How well does this tyre grip in the wet?
Below average. The SAILUN ICE BLAZER WST3 is rated D for wet grip. It handles rain, but stopping distances on wet roads run noticeably longer than the higher grades. Worth keeping in mind if you often drive in heavy weather — leave a bit more room when it's wet.
How much road noise does this tyre make?
Slightly above average. At 72 dB the SAILUN ICE BLAZER WST3 is a touch louder than the middle of the scale. You'll notice a bit more hum at speed, though it stays well within legal limits and rarely bothers you on shorter trips.
Are these tyres reinforced?
Yes. The SAILUN ICE BLAZER WST3 carries the XL (Extra Load) marking, which means a stronger casing that takes higher pressures and carries more weight than a standard tyre of the same size. That suits heavier cars, fully loaded driving, vans, and EVs, which run heavier because of their battery packs. To get the full benefit, set the higher pressure the XL rating allows.
Are these tyres certified for snow?
Yes. The SAILUN ICE BLAZER WST3 carries the 3PMSF mark — the three-peak mountain snowflake — which a tyre only gets after passing an official snow-braking test. It counts as a proper winter tyre in countries where winter tyres are required by law, and it's a real measure of snow performance, not just the softer M+S label that makes no promise about grip.
SAILUN is a budget class manufacturer offering solid-quality tyres with a good balance of price and durability.
Customer reviews
Solid tyres for what you pay. My one gripe is they're a little louder than I expected, even by winter tyre standards. That said, traction on snow and ice was genuinely good. Hard to judge tread life since we barely drove last winter, but it looked fine. On a tight budget these are a dependable choice. I normally run Michelin X-Ice and I still came away happy with these.
Been through a handful of snowfalls on these now and honestly pretty impressed with how they handle.
These are fantastic on ice and wet snow, and they stay quiet on the highway too. Great tyres without the huge price tag! Can't say much about tread life though, only got about 2300 km on them so far.
Excellent tyres, the grip is really very good.
Erinomaiset renkaat, pito on todella hyvä.
Excellent grip, no complaints at all.
Just got these fitted and I'm extremely happy with them so far. Only time will tell how the tread holds up.
